They are showing up on a day that I am conferencing with my students, so at least they will see me interacting with them.

I got a ticket, while I was in the meeting with the dean.

I’m going to appeal.

I’m still in grading jail.

The Liberty is *still* in the shop. They finally gave me a loaner Friday. I may not have her back until early March. Bleck.

It’s OK to give into the crazy. To give into staying in bed. To give in to junk food. To rely on people.

So, yeah. I have grading to do.

Don’t wanna (surprise surprise).

The jeep is still at the vet. Being a one car family is a PITA. I kinda need to head to campus, but it’s raining and I don’t wanna walk two miles in the rain. (Yes, I’m a wimpy, girly-girl.)

My computer screen (iPod, iPad) is blurry when I look at it (them) while wearing my glasses. So, I now have my glasses on a leash around my neck. grrrr

Molly is jealous when I pay attention to the cat.

Chrysler is paying for the parts, the dealership is charging me warranty-sized labor fees (this is a good thing), and we are picking up the rest.

This is a deal I can live with (though, paying nothing would be even better). But, what we’re paying is less than half of what we thought it would be.

Then, maybe in a few months I can trade her in for a Wrangler or a Rubicon.

Meeting with Stu today. He’s mad. I’m scared. (tee hee)

He was quite sweet and I think I smoothed things over quite well. He seems optimistic about what the company can do for her.

I also called my insurance company, but they really can’t doing anything for me (not cover the costs, not pay for a rental car). I didn’t think there was anything they could do, but I had to ask.

I *did* find out that I can use their service to rent a car and get a better deal than renting on my own.

So, there’s that.

Let the games begin.

Teaching’s going well. I came up with a way for students to group up less formally. I had a blast and the students seemed to.

Research is not moving along like I’d like. But, I’m slowly plodding along.

Just wanted to reach out and say “hi.” I’m still here.

OH!! Watch this space for the unfolding saga of the Jeep. Her engine is dying; she only has 44K on her. I am hoping the corporation will step up and help out $$-wise. If not, this could cost us about 2k.

* This is week 5 of the semester. Seriously?
